A New Japanese Restaurant Offers 24 Hours Sushi in the Heart of Koreatown

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 17, 2011

Haruhana, a new Japanese-fusion restaurant in Koreatown, New York City, seems to have gotten it right. Restaurant critics and even the average diner the city over are hailing it a success for a combination of reasons including d?cor, location, value, and the sheer edibility of the food and drink. Metromix reviewers said, ?Given its price, location and chutzpah, Haruhana is a solid bet for diners looking for something unique and appealing in K-town.?

Haruhana?s menu is unbelievably diverse. They have taken the traditional Japanese formula?sushi, okonomiyaki and tteokpoki?and thrown in the sort of variety of cross-cultural cuisine that can only emerge in New York, with dishes like a Japanese style omelet, a seafood pizza pancake, and baby octopus with pork belly. Beyond that, Haruhana offers a whole grilled squid, home-made ramen noodle dishes, and standard sushi. People seem to really be buzzing over the seafood hot pot, a delicious combination of fish balls, squid, mussels, bok choy, and shrimp And, get this, they?ve got over 40 types of sake. In fact, Haruhana prides itself on its wide variety of unique and difficult-to-find sake. Haruhana?s website even provides a complete breakdown of every sake they offer including information like acidity, prefecture, and a brief, wine list-like description.

One thing getting the residents of K-town and the critics interested in Haruhana is the prices. Most lunch menu items are $ 10 and under and you?ll be hard-pressed to spend more than $ 25 a plate at dinner. These dishes are served with an eye for aesthetics and when one lands on your table, you know it?s going to be good. Sake ranges from $ 5 to $ 17 and it?s more than worth the price.

Here?s another thing, Haruhana opened their doors to the night in March, allowing those sushi-hungry, hammered, and/or night-shift-working nocturnals something to munch on besides hot dogs, pizza, and Chinese. No pre-made night-crowd fare here either. Even at 4 am, Haruhana offers the full menu, including Sushi, and will make your order fresh and on-the-spot. Just imagine authentic Japanese cuisine, freshly made after a night on the town in midtown. It?s about time Japanese food got in the 24/7 business.

Haruhana offers all sorts of discounts for checking-in on Facebook such as a free tofu salad, a daily happy hour from 3pm to 6pm where a buy one beer get the second beer free is offered, and regularly updated specials such as 50% off special sushi rolls Sunday through Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, all combining to make this high-value restaurant even more affordable.

Haruhana also caters and they will gladly host your private party or event. They are located on a busy block of 32nd street between 5th and 6th Avenue in the middle of Koreatown. Amidst the often strange and wondrous sights of this neighborhood, this small eatery might be easy to miss, so look them up. Their website is http://www.haruhananyc.com but you can also find them on Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp, and Gowalla.
