Houston and New York Cosmetic Dermatologist Releases New Book to Improve Patient Education and Treatment Success

New York, NY (Vocus) November 10, 2010

Dr. Paul M. Friedman specializes in dermatology in New York City and Houston as a board-certified dermatologist. He has co-authored a new book, Beautiful Skin Revealed: The Ultimate Guide to Better Skin, which includes candid conversations with the doctor himself, as well as tips and treatment charts supported by photographic evidence of successful procedures and a wide range of additional information centered on the process of proper dermatological care. Unlike most medical books, Dr. Friedman says his new book is a coffee table book designed to educate his patients and enhance a reader?s grasp of the possibilities inherent in expert dermatologic care. ?The book is grounded in science and shows readers the incredible results made possible through the latest treatment options.?

Beautiful Skin Revealed explains the reasons behind common skin conditions, as well as how the latest dermatological procedures, such as Fraxel? laser treatment in New York City, achieve results. Dr. Friedman says he not only wants to encourage patients considering dermatological procedures to use the book as a guide, but also as a reference to provide further education on the possibilities and the expanding technology of dermatology.

Also detailed in the new book, Dr. Friedman offers laser treatments for acne and stretch mark removal in New York City and Houston. He says while some stretch marks may fade over time, treatments can provide safe and effective options for a variety of different circumstances. As shown in Beautiful Skin Revealed, with the use of treatments such as Pulsed-dye lasers, as well as fractionated lasers, Dr. Friedman can lighten, and improbe stretch marks with minimal risks of scarring.

With the release of Beautiful Skin Revealed, Dr. Friedman not only introduces his audience to the latest treatment options available for patients interested in procedures such as tattoo removal in Houston and New York City, he also shows his readers what they can expect from those treatments through first-hand accounts and scientific support. Coupled with the expansive list of services he offers in Houston and New York City, Dr. Friedman hopes the release of Beautiful Skin Revealed will help readers understand why choosing the right dermatologist makes all the difference.

Eco Nuts Releases New Skin Friendly Detergent Made from Soap Nuts

Marina Del Rey, CA (PRWEB) August 10, 2011

Eco Nuts, a environmentally friendly laundry detergent company has introduced a new liquid detergent based on soap nuts (soap berries) with only two other natural ingredients that eliminate the need for fabric softener and dryer sheets.

Those with sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis will rejoice as Eco Nuts won?t aggravate any of these conditions while getting towels and laundry softer and fluffier than ever before. The hypoallergenic detergent has also been celebrated by cloth diapering moms as a fabulous way to keep their diapers clean and absorbent without the usual chemicals that irritate delicate baby skin.

The new Eco Nuts Liquid Detergent is made from soap nut extract ? which comes from a soap-bearing berry from a Himalayan tree, with only two other natural ingredients to preserve and stabilize for a long shelf life. This combination has proved to be a highly effective cleaner, requiring only a teaspoon for a regular load of laundry and a half teaspoon for High Efficiency front-loading machines. Handwashers can use just one tiny thimbleful in their sink with water. This highly concentrated liquid is packaged in recyclable aluminum ? making it lightweight to ship and easy to recycle.

?Many companies use cheap fillers ? we?ve taken all that out and gone back to basics,? says Scott Shields, former Pirates of the Caribbean actor and President of Eco Nuts. ?There is no need to ship water or utilize toxic chemicals -- all the cleaning and softening power is right here in these little berries.?

The 10 oz. aluminum bottles are smaller than a water bottle and can supply 120 High Efficiency loads.

?The bottles are gorgeous,? states Eco Nuts co-founder, Mona Weiss who designed the graphics. ?This is a product you want to display on your counter.?

The liquid also has other household uses ? it can be diluted further to use as a carpet cleaner and for washing windows and countertops.

The company?s commitment to the environment has been a guiding factor in its product development. By eliminating plastic packaging, using innovative proprietary selection techniques, and creating new innovative and effective products, Eco Nuts has carved out a unique place in the global green cleaning market that has been embraced by picky cloth-diapering moms and high-end clientele alike.

Eco Nuts Liquid Detergent formula is now starting to appear on store and e-store shelves throughout the US, Canada, and Asia.

Eco Nuts Liquid Detergent and Eco Nuts Soap Nuts contain no dyes, fragrances, fillers, enzymes or optical brighteners and are 100 percent SLS (sodium laurel sulfate) and phosphate-free.

Eco Nuts Liquid Detergent and Eco Nuts Soap Nuts are clean-rinsing detergents embraced by parents for its effectiveness on cloth diapers, and its gentleness on sensitive skin, eczema and psoriasis. More information can be found at http://www.EcoNutsSoap.com.

Free Spirit Publishing Releases Tenth Book in the Award-Winning Toddler Tools? Series

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 02, 2011

Free Spirit Publishing presents ON-THE-GO TIME ($ 7.95), the tenth book in the award-winning Toddler Tools series of board books by author Elizabeth Verdick and illustrator Marieka Heinlen. ON-THE-GO TIME was written to help take the hassle out of shopping and running errands with little ones. In the book, toddlers learn simple tools and encouragement to keep moving, cope with the changing scenes, and be super helpers in the car, at the store or library, and on the road. What do they do when they?re on-the-go? Listen, follow along, and even lend a hand. If they?re struggling with transition times, or feeling disappointed or overstimulated along the way, they can take deep breaths to calm down.

The Toddler Tools series offers a fresh look at the times and transitions all toddlers face daily, giving young children coping skills to ease transition times and handle everyday routines with confidence and cooperation. In ON-THE-GO TIME, MEALTIME, BEDTIME, CALM-DOWN TIME, MANNERS TIME, SHARING TIME, NAPTIME, LISTENING TIME, BYE-BYE TIME, and CLEAN-UP TIME (Free Spirit Publishing, $ 7.95 each), Heinlen?s signature illustrations?vibrant color interwoven with vintage fabrics?are the perfect complement to Verdick?s rhythmic text.

Each book also contains a section of tips for parents and caregivers. Here are few tips from ON-THE-GO TIME to keep toddlers moving:

????Keep to a schedule. Make it easier on everyone by running errands or scheduling appointments in between your child?s meals and naps. This will ensure your child is rested, fed, and ready to go. Don?t try to cram too many stops into one trip?this often leads to frustration, tears, or meltdowns.
????Make a ?go-time? list. Your child will do a lot better on-the-go if you?ve made a visual schedule ahead of time. On a piece of paper, draw a representation of each place you?ll be going: a book for the library, an apple for the grocery store, a stamp for the post office. Then your child will know what to expect and look forward to.
????Get ready, get set. Before you leave home, give your child a chance to use the bathroom, get a drink and snack to take along, and choose a favorite toy to bring. Make sure you always have a handy stash of diapers and wipes, underpants and extra clothes, raingear, juice boxes, small toys, and other essential ?go-time? supplies. It?s helpful if your child eats beforehand or brings along a snack?especially if you?re running several errands. Full tummies mean calmer children!
????Prepare for challenges. You can use every one of these tips and still have one of those terrible outings where your child melts down in public. What to do? Take a few deep breaths and have your child do the same. Avoid yelling, making threats, or bribing your child with treats. Sometimes, it?s best to simply pick up your child and leave until you?re both calmer and can return to the scene. (You wouldn?t be the first parent or caregiver who had to leave a cart full of groceries behind.)
